Bryce Canyon National Park
is quite different from the areas Anna and I are used to visiting. If
you are hiking or horseback riding, you can explore the canyon itself.
If, like us, your explorations are limited to areas accessible by road,
your perspective is limited to a god's-eye view. Of course, that's
pretty spectacular in its own right. Somehow, though, looking down at
these monuments to the passage of wind, water and time makes them not
so monumental to me. Regardless, the views and vistas are a treat to
the eye and a less than gentle reminder of just how brief a time man
has trod across this fundament.
